Meet Dr. Anders Osborne:

Your guide to thriving with ADHD

Discover the personal story and professional passion behind the Thriving With ADHD™ System, crafted by Dr. Anders Osborne, Ph.D.

My personal journey and the birth of Thriving With ADHD™

I am an ADHD adult, parent, grandparent, and educator with over 30 years of experience helping ADHD youth, teens, families, and educators. While my academic training provided a strong research foundation, my personal experiences truly showed me that families need practical strategies that work in everyday life, not just in theory.

Over the years, I worked with thousands of families and observed common challenges: homework battles, organization problems, impulsivity, social struggles, and family stress. Through workshops, parent training, educator seminars, and direct feedback from ADHD families, I developed and refined real-world solutions that consistently helped students and families succeed.

These experiences inspired me to create Thriving With ADHD™ and its Five Pillars: FuelRight™, ConnectWell™, OrganizeMe™, ImpulseMastery™, and StudySmart™. My mission is simple: to provide practical, research-informed tools that help ADHD youth, teens, and families move beyond surviving to thriving.

Igniting potential: My passion for empowering ADHD families

What I am most passionate about is helping ADHD youth, teens, and families see beyond daily struggles and recognize the strengths, potential, and opportunities that ADHD can bring. For more than 30 years, I have watched families move from frustration, conflict, and self-doubt to confidence, connection, and success when they are given practical strategies that actually work in everyday life.

I believe ADHD is not a character flaw, a lack of intelligence, or a lack of effort. It is a different way of thinking and learning that requires understanding, support, and skill-building. When those pieces are in place, remarkable growth can happen.

My mission is to help families reduce stress, strengthen relationships, and equip ADHD youth and teens with the tools they need to become confident, capable, and independent adults who can truly thrive.

A unique approach: Expertise meets lived experience

What makes my approach different is that it combines professional expertise with lived experience. I am an ADHD adult, parent, grandparent, educator, and specialist who understands ADHD from both the research side and the family side. For more than 30 years, I have worked directly with ADHD youth, teens, parents, educators, and schools.

The strategies I teach were not developed solely from research studies; they were refined through real-world workshops, family training programs, and feedback from the people using them every day. Rather than focusing on a single challenge, I developed the Thriving With ADHD™ framework and its Five Pillars to address the whole person. Success with ADHD requires more than academics; it also involves organization, social skills, impulse control, healthy habits, and family support.

My goal has always been to give families practical, realistic tools they can use immediately. I believe lasting success comes from building skills, confidence, and independence.

"Dr. Osborne's insights are invaluable. Her approach blends deep knowledge with practical, empathetic guidance that truly transforms lives."
